This battery is the intelligent SMART variant of the Ansmann/Portapower system, designed for mounting on the luggage rack.

💡 The Power of the SMART Version: Universal Compatibility

This is the SMART variant (with CANBUS protocol). This offers you the great advantage of universal compatibility:

  • SMART Systems: Direct replacement for all e-bikes with an Ansmann or Portapower SMART connection.

  • NON-SMART Systems: The SMART battery is fully backward compatible and works without issues in e-bikes that were originally equipped with a NON-SMART battery.

In short: If you choose this SMART battery, you are always assured of the correct operation, regardless of your bike's protocol.
